Have you got that 2" theodolite out again? P in Az is way above my head, but did you spot this http://www.titulosnauticos.net/astro/Chapter9.pdf . It seems very readable, and there are two formulae towards the end. I'm not sure what the units are, but it looks like it depends upon which units you input, i.e. degrees in degrees out. DaveP
