    Planetarium for navigator training 1945
    From: Paul Hirose
    Date: 2023 Sep 21, 14:15 -0700

The Second World War saw miracles of production, not just weapons, but
trained people too. From Popular Mechanics magazine in 1945 is this
article on US Navy training. One photo shows a planetarium with a twist
    — literally. Its stars are light bulbs on a rotating frame. Is that an
outline of Cygnus on the left side of the picture? Maybe not. The nearby
    stars don't look quite right.
