Hello:
Start with a basic book first. For example, Celestial Navigation in a Nutshell by Schlereth, Then Karl's book. Both excellent! Also helpful to find a Nautical Almanac , any year, or get one for a Xmas present. Bowditch not needed.
We are soon on our way to Ketchikan, Alaska. Then a 7 day small ship cruise to Juneau. Not bringing my sextant .
Regards to all.
Bruce

I own a boat and am well versed in basic navigation concepts. I would like to learn celestial navigation. Can anyone recommend a good book or on-line course?
