A pair of Oakley Flak XL Prism Deep Water polarized sunglasses has become a new addition to my on the water CN kit. This model of sunglass is very light weight, stays on the head, tough, and provides outstanding horizon contrast as well as a sharp sun image. There was one unexpected problem though when reading my Casio digital watch. The polarizing caused the watch to go opaque. The fix is to look under the sunglass lens to read the watch. New Oakleys are expensive but ebay has deals now and then. The lenses can be changed for different conditions and sports. I like this feature which saves the need for multiple sunglasses. Another benefit is how well the wind is kept out of the eye. During twilight a pair of clear safety lenses are snaped into the Oakley frame. This model of sunglass performs very well when the sextant is being used without the scope.
