Thanks for the warm welcome.
That is a fantastic idea! That seems so much better than dry (pardon the pun) textbook questions.
I am endlessly fascinated by this whole world of navigation, the history of it, cartography and all the rest. I see you guys are too. In fact, I'll pass on something I very recenly listened to....the BBC 4 Podcast called "In Our Time" with an episode on Longitude and the historical work on perfecting way-finding and building the chronometer. Harris and the whole long story - a great one.
After the "day job" is done I'll work up some sailing ideas for my sight reductions.
