Micro sight reduction (ultra compact) has turned a corner of late by going small without compromising precision. The standard to meet is 1' of precision for calculated altitude and 1° of precision for azimuth by graph using both sides of a single standard sheet of paper. Pocket slide rules also qualify. Here is the short list so far:
1. Hav Doniol / 10' haversine 4 place table.
2. Ageton / 10' log sin cos 5 place table.
3. Otis King slide rule / 10' natural sin cos 4 place table.
4. Bygrave variations.
There is one 10' natural sin cos table left to construct which I bet Hanno can make in the same fashion as his log sin cos table. Then it will be up to Francis to do tests underway with his collection and report back.
