    First, thanks for the input.  I was not sure how relevant it was to lunars (which seem much more complicated).

    Yes, (12) should use 60*180/pi... That is why these write-ups should be sent to reviewers.

    As for radians being dimensionless, that seems to be the terminology people use (per a google search). The main point was to explicitly write down how these approximations show up, and how/when radians must be used.  Mostly for my own notes.
