Hello,
I search information about the method of lunar distance of P Apian (1524) : do you know if this method is directly the "ancestor" of the method of Halley (described in the astronomic tanles of 1749) ?
I have read some description of the method of Apian, but the text (in french ou in english) is not very clear ...
