Wow. Based on Captain Koons' experience (Pulp Fiction) and my ex-wife's suggestion, maybe there's a better temperature-stable location for wearing a quartz watch than my wrist. Probably wouldn't check it as often, though.
But a practical solution might be to choose an all metal case to take full advantage of heat transfer from the wrist to the quartz crystal. And wearing the watch body on the inside rather than the outside of the wrist. Near the big veins.
Time to test the hypothesis.
