Hey everyone, I'm the silent mariner that follows this post religiosly. Except for the work you've been doing with "lunars" (which I find fascinating, but REALLY tough), a bit above my my expertise, I'm a cel Nav user and a sextant owne. I began my career at Mass Maritime at the advent of GPS. I appreciate all of your expertise and would find it ca loss to see any of it go away. If you should have a workshop or get together in the Northeast, I'd be there. I find reading the heavens and elemental to my person. Thank you, thank you to all of my peers. Please don't give up on this work you are doing. It is an art and a gift to the next generation of mariners to understand how it all works. Just know that I've actually been there when all of the lights on the ship went out far at sea and away from the shipping lanes. It does work. Thanks and best to everyone!
