I'm not so impressed. Ballard's achievements are all decades in the past. I fear that he's an elderly hero, generously a "legend", less charitably a "has-been", who has been selected by the expedition organizers as a figurehead.

No direct affiliation, but the theoretical model that they are testing is one hundred percent TIGHAR. They're only planning to search at Nikumaroro. I suppose there's no other practical option.
