I'll be flying by Concorde to Greenwich, UK this week to teach a three-day workshop in nautical astronomy for the curatorial team at the Royal Observatory (which is a museum these days) as well as team members from Cutty Sark, National Maritime Museum, etc. I'm really looking forward to flying on Concorde! Supersonic flight, luxury service, champagne! So cool!!
Ok, I admit I may be exaggerating the luxuries experienced by nautical astronomy instructors. There's no champagne. There's no supersonic jet. But after lockdown delays I am finally teaching my (online!) workshop in historical nautical astronomy for the folks at the Royal Observatory.
Same courses available for general attendance online starting at the end of the month:
- Celestial Age of Sail: Jan 30, 31: Atlantic session OR Feb 1, 2, 3: Pacific session
- Lunars: Feb 13, 14: Atlantic session OR Feb 15, 16, 17: Pacific session
