As requested by David Pike on 13 March, attached are further pages from part 4 of The Observer's Book on Astro-Navigation by Francis Chichester, published in 1942.
Chapter 27 in that book, "Running Down a Position Line", consists of :
- pages 23-30, attached to this post
- pages 31-32 plus the fold-out chart plus page 33, all posted here on 5 March 2021
- pages 34-35, attached to this post
The preceding chapter 26 ("The Flying Boat Sextant") ends at page 22, and the following chapter 28 ("Errors due to Flight Accelerations") starts at page 36. I hope the attached pages help (though I'm not expert enough to be able to judge that).
