Hi Ned
Lilley and Gillie are local to me. They are marine instrument makers, and international chart agents ( under another name recently, since digital charting took off ). Sestrel has been their instrument brand name for many a year, but to my knowledge they badge engineered all the sextants they sold over the last 50 years at least. I have a 2011 dual badged Lilley and Gillie one end of the arc and Cassens and Plath at the other end. The semi retired guy who used to glaze many of their instruments still trades in North Shields and will cut and trim a new rectangular sextant mirror for the price of a small amount of money and a half an hour yarn.
Yes, your's is a Freiberger at heart.
