I tried some mirror paint today. I did this once before, but I don't think I reported here. The results are fair to okay. It's a spray paint for a second-surface mirror. You clean the original mirroring off, and then just spray a few coats on the back. The result is a bit foggy. It's certainly an acceptable, reflective mirror, and for some uses it might be all that's needed. It's optically flat. Image show no optical distortions, but the mirroring is a little hazy, probably because of the finite size of the small particles that make up the paint. The net result is like an excellent mirror... with a very fine layer of dust.
