Sextant practice in 2014

I was poking around online looking for photos of the Charles W Morgan -- the whaleship built in 1841 which is the premier exhibit at Mystic Seaport Museum and is also featured in my celestial navigation classes. I spotted a photo in my searches of some people taking sights with sextants. Intriguing! Then I looked closer and realized, "Ha. That's me." This was a sextant practice day here on the island back in June 2014. I'm on the right.
