Sextant problem gone

I described in message g27314, 2014 mar 21, that I couldn’t use my Galilean Scope – SNO sextant – without glasses and my solution to that problem. Incidentally I had the same problem with my “new” binoculars (Fujinon mid-nineties) but not with my “old” reliable ones (Mirador Super 1958).
That has all changed now thanks to cataract surgeries this winter. The operations were of course performed due to cataracts but at the same time it was possible to reduce my near-sightedness.
Result: I can now use my sextant and my binoculars without glasses.
