The full moon cannot appear at the same time the sun is up, as the two bodies are 180° apart. I feel that side error is overrated as a problem. It can be helpful, after all, as it is sometimes easier to check for index error if instead of seeing the body superimposed on itself you can see a second image, only slightly displaced to one side. Just my opinion ...
