HO 229 volumes are broken up into two "chapters" covering 8° each so that the LHA values would be as unique as page numbers. HO 214 (and 249 to a lesser extent) can still require some flipping back and forth once you reach a page with the correct latitude on it.
Personally, one thing I like about HO 229 is how the Contrary-Same line also works as your horizon.
