Many of you know the publication Sky & Telescope which was for decades the premier publication for private astronomers (backyard astronomy, amateur astronomy) and also widely respected and read by professional astronomers. Along with the "hobby", the publication has declined in the 21st century. Of course they have online/digital content, too. S&T was recently saved from financial servitude by the AAS, the American Astronomical Society. Unfortunately editorial skills and responsibility continue in freefall collapse. Some of you may be amused by this image of the Milky Way published in an article about light pollution. Can you identify the starfield? No? Zoom in and compare features on the left and right in that starfield.
