Slide rules and cel nav

Over some time, there have been a number of posts/comments regarding the use of slide rules, the 10" "stick" type, nothing that I can recall re the use of circular slide rules. Over the years, I've found slide rules to be interesting devices, possibly not especially accurate, compared to the commonly available, these days, slide rule type calculator, but good enough for use in engineering. The other day, the delivery man brought me my latest ebay purchase a Gilson 8 1/2" circular slide rule, supposedly unused, just old, possibly my age. Anyhow, just curious re using the circular slide rule, once I become familiar with it, for cel nav calculations. Anyone here done so?
