Starting CN trials for my Samsung smart phone camera. Will be calibrating pixels per minute of arc for the widest lens angle setting. 5 mega pixels will do pretty good for resolution. The draw back will be the auto focus which can't be disabled. Hoping that for CN work the infinte auto focus will produce a consistent focal length. Sun filtering will be done with solar film held over the Sun. Timing is to the second and stored in image file. See attached digital watch time check for Eastern Standard Time. This won't work as good as my trusty Canon Rebel DSLR in manual mode but will be more portable and practical if I can get satisfactory results.
