Around 6 hours after the solstice, I took the attached photo in 145e. I'm at 37.8s. I was preparing to relaunch my little ship Akala after a few weeks maintenance in the yard. She is 60 years old. Her GPS unit died a couple of years ago and I have no plans to replace it. So I may as well remove the chartplotter, since it can't function. I have bought up to date paper charts of the SE corner of Australia and Tasmania in preference. There are some rumours that the Hydrography office will not be printing charts for much longer.
