Thanks Greg. It was really the original papers I was after, so I can reread and possibly cite them. In the second paper Higgs? said that he hoped he could analyse Amundsen's sights when and if they became available after The Occupation of Norway. I don't know if he ever did. If he managed it, I'd like to read what he wrote. If he didn't, there might be scope for a paper. DaveP
