Hello and Happy New Year!
For those who are interested in the emergency navigation topic - here is a scan of the document named "The recommendations for the astronavigation in case of a fault with technical means of navigation or if sailing a life raft" by USSR's MoD, 1983, publication 9049. (In Russian)
Unlike some English materials on this topic - the document is for persons familiar with the astronavigation.
I scanned everythig that fitted in my A4 scan device, I had to leave out several diagrams of bigger size: the sunrise/sunset diagram versus latitude and date, the daytime duration versus latitude and date, the Kavrayskiy's circular diagram for solving spherical trig problems (that one is a pity - the diagram is VERY interesting in its' own right, worth a separate discussion).
On the funnier side of the document - it mentions the Cruiserfix tool! :)
Warm regards and Season's Greetings,
Tony
