Special Nav. Techniques for a Total Solar Eclipse?

Can anyone recommend any special, unique, or interesting celestial navigation techniques specific to solar eclipes? I plan to be sailing near 8N/120W during the April 8, 2024 total eclipse. My route will be Panama City, Panama, to Honolulu, Hawaii, with the possibility to be directly under the path of totality as I will not be sailing a great circle course between the ports.
