Hanno and Frank,
I am very interested in any analog computer methods, including the orange! (I know that maths solutions via calculator/logs or slide rule are easier and best, but this is fun!). Hanno, I tried to find the patent and the book without success. Would you be kind enough to send me copies?
Frank, did you see my slightly tongue in cheek question about using maybe just 1 quadrant of "orange peel" say 6ft x 6ft, made of stong fibre glass or similar? Do you always need the whole globe? can we re-arrange the numbers to just use 1 quadrant? I'm trying to get my limited maths brain around that!
Best wishes Both.
