My comments were not intended to correct you in anyway.
Your grandfather and Worsley were practicing a method of CN too often overlooked as primitive or deficient with respect to Line Of Position CN. It absolutely is not. Its a perfect compliment to it. LOP CN is great at AM and PM twilights. Time Sight CN is merely an advanced or retarded LOP, in which one of the LOP's is the observation at meridian crossing, guaranteeing a good latitude.
