Hi David,
I likewise have been stymied by in my search for the specs of the standard dome. Simply from the existance of the table in the AA and 249 I assumed I needed to make a window refraction correction to hs. I've yet to find any data for the planes' windshield and windows either. So I've just used the standard table as a best approximation. Attached is a Sun line plot where I sequentially add each hs correction starting from hs corrected for R. The dome correction shows to contribute to a more accurate Ho, so I have contunued to use it.
One goal I have is to take a sight from inside a standard dome. We have several historic planes outside at our local Air Force base museum, or I will try to get into a CAA plane in the shows this summer.
