rather demanding with just white dots and lines to join up
I wish you'd try a Zen JigSaw Puzzle - an all-white A3-sized jigsaw with a hint on separate paper:
Download and print the following PDF for instructions. (The link is provided.)
That PDF is - ofcourse! - is just a blank piece of A4 paper (or whatever is your printer loaded with).
I'm stil working on it - after several YEARS of efforts. It is far from being solved. :D
