Michael, thanks for your evaluation of the Ebbco. My first two seasons of offshore passages were done with one. It's the cover girl of Commonsense Celestial Navigation, taken during my second NY-Bermuda trip in 1973. It alway served me well. Only fly was it's teeny-weeny Allen wrench; but I never had to use it much.
Greg Rudzinski did a thorough analysis several years ago with similar results.
