I determined the "classic" StarFinder currently sold by W&P uses Epoch 1950 coordinates (checked the RA of the 20 bright stars and they match exactly to 1950 values).
Frank you mention this device is poorly made. What is your recommendation for a better made device that is entirely mechanical for Star ID and pre-planning?
