    Frank, my solution to this problem attached. The calculations are done for 28°N 90°W only. I have ignored some minor (I hope) issues such as augmentation. Summary: Between UT 17h11m11s and 18h01m41s the moon will cover the sun's lower limb and as LAN occurs at UT 17h46m you cannot use sun's LL then.
