Thank you for your post, you are getting the same result as I (an incorrect Lunar Elevation, using JPL Horizons) that does not agree with other Ephemeri.
While I agree with Frank, that it "looks like" parallax, I still cannot see how I'm using Horizons incorrectly, but that is OK, I will just switch to a different ephemeris that gives me answers that I like ;-)
It's a beautiful Spring morning here in Christchurch NZ, so I'm looking forward to getting outside into the Sun, and using Frank's wonderful "Anti Spoof" app - to help me test my new tripod Artificial Horizon that I made.
