Hi Tony,
Thanks to your post I have seen Venus in the daylight (my old dream!). I was using 8x40 marine binocular to find it. It was pretty difficult to find it although I new its H and AZ. At first instance I thought that this was an airplane but than realized (no contrails) that this was Venus! Then I let my wife and son to watch it too.
However I could not manage to find Venus with naked eye although my latitude is lower than yours. I tried several times but without success. Perhaps it depens on air quality.
kind regards
Igor
