Hello!
Today was a very nice day for CN practice (at my usual location), the atmospheric conditions were close to ideal, the refraction correction table gave the near-zero intercepts all day.
Finally (at 14:17UT, 17:17RTZ2) I got bored with that and decided to locate Venus. The calculated Sun-Venus distance for 14:00UT was 46°3,5'. After some filter adjustments and sextant rocking I got very nice bright dot nearly in the center of the Sun's disk. I wish I could make a photo!...
Since then I could see Venus with a naked eye too.
:)
Warm regards,
Tony
