I'm not sure if you're talking about my solution, because you don't address your post to anyone. However, if you read what I wrote, you'll see that because the question isn't clear, I gave both solutions just in case,30.10ft and 30.22ft, a difference of 1.5 inches. This seems a bit small when I look at the scale drawing. It's probably because I used shortened calculated angles in subsequent equations. (As CBD is an isosceles triangle, you could soon check by going to the chord direct using the same angle I used to get the arc) I suspect Mike's book was written long before computer generated solutions were common. Also, it's nice to know that you could work things out for yourself if you had to. DaveP
