Brian,
If you combine the two formulae used for the Bowditch ex-meridian tables you should get a single formula:
Eximeridian = (t)(t) .5235 (cos lat)(cos dec)/ cos Ho
works well with standard 10" or pocket 6" slide rule
substitute:
1-2hav lat = cos lat
1-2hav dec = cos dec
1-2hav Ho = cos Ho
will give the all hav ex-meridian formula.
