Frank you have forgotten one thing about the smartphone
and the battery is dead after one day.
My TI-89 calculator works a year on a set off battery's (4pc AAA standard batterys).
My son uses a TI-84 on the high school every day. He had to change the batterys after 1½ year.
Thats the greatest pro between calculator ans smartphone.
Bur everybody can use what he likes.
