Sixty years ago I learned celestial using Ageton, HO 211 since it was included in"Mixter." In the text, Mixter mentioned HO 214 and I was envious of its much-simplified method. Years later I was able to purchase HO 214. Then, in 1980, my girlfriend bought a full set of HO 229 which I thoroughly detest since they changed the wonderful arrangement of the tables in HO 214. The same arrangement as HO 214 is found in HO 218 and HO 249, pages based on latitude. Since that arrangement was well proven in all of these other tables, why oh why, did they screw it up for HO 229.
I also hate Ageton and much prefer Dreisonstok for a trig computation. Oh, and the Bygrave.
