Re: Tecsun antenna setup for time signal

    Art Leung,

From my home in central New Jersey, I also have difficulties receiving the time signal broadcast by the WWW radio station with my Tecsun shortwave radio, even after connecting a Tecsun external antenna.  My knowledge about installing shortwave radio antennas is minimal, so perhaps this is just the result of my lack of expertise.

In contrast, for the last couple of years I've found that I'm able to receive the Canadian shortwave time signal transmitted by CHU at the frequency of 7.85 MHz reasonably clearly at most times of the day, just using the radio's internal antenna fully extended and orienting it. I don't know if what works in central New Jersey will also work in central North Carolina, but it's worth a try.

    Best, Rafael
