    Tilt Errors in Artificial Horizons
    From: David Pike
    Date: 2015 Jan 7, 14:01 -0800

Now here’s a question for you Newtonian Physics experts.  I’m currently assembling parts for a mirror glass artificial horizon.  The spirit level I’ve bought to get it level claims to be accurate to 3 minutes of arc.  If it is, and if I can set up the mirror to that degree of accuracy, will my astro be out by 1.5 minutes, 3 minutes or 6 minutes of arc?  My feeling that the tilt will have an error doubling effect, but the halving effect of AH shots will reduce the error back to 3minutes again, but I’m making myself dizzy trying to draw the diagram.  Dave
