Perhaps not entirely appropriate, but for whatever it might be worth, consider the following.
A nice motor sailer is hard aground. A salvage vessel is standing by, the troubled boat owner is speaking with the rescue operator, conversation runs as follows.
Salvage Operator:
What happened?
Boater: Don't know, my GPS said to follow course 180 degrees, which I did. What else was I supposed to do?
