FWIW, I designed a displacement gauge and printed it on a ~$100 Cannon inkjet printer. The device uses verniers to measure movement as small as 1/10th of a millimeter in two directions. The Cannon did a fine job.
So, I imagine most modern printers would be up to the task of printing slide rule scales. Now that I think about it, I also printed a slide rule on the same printer. It was a design featured in Scientific American and I have attached it below. It might be useful as a "trial run".
