What a great summary of the history and beautifully written.Perhaps you should write a book on this to redress the Harrison clock/ Maskelyne lunar balance? I also recommend the book edited by Rebekah Higgitt on Maskelyne. Much more balanced, as is Sextant by our very own David Barrie.
