I ventured: Might the same mathematics be used to slew the smartphone vertical until the three or four position lines meet at a point?
Iv’e been thinking about this a bit more. If you need azimuths, and I’m not sure you do, you’ll probably have some coefficient A error in the horizontal plane from poor magnetometry. However, so long as you select bodies close to 120 degrees apart rather than 60 degrees, tetrahedron or triangle shrinking should still produce a fair result. DaveP
