The format of its navigation data output is the 'grandfather' of a number of programs.
As an old FORTRAN programmer interested in learning python, I thought that a good way might be by trying a 'real world' project. The attached program listing and output might be of interest to some. It's certainly not model python, but it did generate the data file. It's someone who's fluent in FORTRAN try to transliterate into python. But, an interesting project.
