I have marked up a flightradar24 map to show the situation a few days ago. Today the winds must be different because QFA28 is taking a more northerly route. It is about a third of the way across the Southern Ocean but only at lat 49°.
Note that the positions on the map were marked by eye so are approximate only.
Probably off-topic but aircraft flying across the southern ocean use a step limb technique. Given the little traffic why not cruse climb?
I looked at a map on the Tighar site and was surprised at the effort that had gone into banning ALL use of material on the site. Fortunately I do not think that they banned reading it!!!!!! It used to be that small sections of a work could be copied for educational purposes. Is that still the case?
