Now this is an interesting question for History of Navigation buffs considering sending posts to on-line forums. How can three different companies try to charge if you attempt use the same historic photograph from way-back? Three such examples appear below. Do they all send a sub to the original photographer’s estate, or are they charging for the convenience offered to newspaper reporters and the like? The fourth Organisation, from the Southern Hemisphere, appears to have the negative back to front. Upside down, I could understand, but back to front ??? Interestingly, Lt Edward Evans has some vertical angle on, but he’s not observing the Sun. DaveP
