I was being facetious gven the possible unfortunate results if the navigator said "hack" in a loud voice at the wrong moment.

Ah well, that explains things. I couldn’t quite see how your statement fitted the thread. I regret I completely missed the connection with the earlier lines. Bedford Incident was a great book and film. As far as I recall ‘fire one’ were the last spoken words of the film. DaveP
